Karen lives in Lebanon, NH with her husband, Andy, her 7-year-old daughter, Marina, and baby Zoe. Passionate about education policy and state government, she was inspired to become politically active during Governor Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign. She ran for office in 2005 and was elected to the Lebanon City Council. She works at the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy at Dartmouth College, her alma mater.
