WMDKick off the new campaign to pass immigration reform!Thu, 01/14/2010 - 5:00pm Saint Augustin's Church (382 Beech Street, Manchester) Immigration has been an important part of this country's past, present, and future. But the system isn't working - U.S. and foreign workers are being been pitted against each other to the advantage of corporate profit, out-of-date laws have become unenforceable, and a wave of racism and immigrant-bashing have divided people domestically. The system needs to be fixed - and this year we can do it! Like never before, people are coming together all across America demanding a new way forward on this important issue. Here in NH, with the NH Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees and Reform Immigration for America, we are fighting for practical solutions that strengthen our economy, provide for family unification, and improve our national security. Please join us on Thursday, January 14 at 5 pm to kick off the new campaign to pass immigration reform!
