So, yesterday was the big day and the snow held off, making it easy to get to Manchester to pick the Dodd-dedicated delegates to the Democratic National Convention. Presumably, the same was true of Concord, where the second District contingent met.

Calling All Guests

Unless you're a little obsessive, you probably don't scroll down the left side of the main page to check how many users and how many guests are online at any one time. So, you probably haven't noticed that the normal ratio has gone from about one "user" (a registered poster) to 30 or so guests to one user per over a thousand. (As I write, there are 1167 guests online). And all that with what can only be described as rather lackadaisical content.

Which prompts me to suggest not only that we need more and fresher content on this site, but that our content needs to be addressed to this multitude of guests. Even if we don't know exactly what they are looking for, every visit seems like a golden opportunity to some action that will aid our cause.

GETTING OUT THE VOTE--18 DAYS

Every Democratic vote in the primary is almost certain to turn out in November as well. So, a big turnout on September 12 will make a success in November that much more certain.

So, please, call at least ten of your acquaintances (presumably you already know where your family's and your friends' interest lie) and remind them to vote for our Democratic candidates in the primary on September 12.

Keep in mind that now is the time to let the country know that New Hampshire is turning from purple to blue and we're going to turn both Congress and our State Legislature around from trying to rule the people to following the rule of law.
As Justice Kennedy has said, corruption doesn't just show up as bribery and graft; corruption is evident when the government doesn't respond to the will of the people.

Was the 2004 "smoking gun" buried in NH?

Why is the Republican National Committee still paying ninja DC lawyers to defend James Tobin, now that he's been convicted for his role in the NH phone-jamming scandal? Is Tobin repaying them by keeping quiet? Was there some dark secret that needs to be kept quiet, something Tobin knew about when he headed the Bush Cheney 2004 campaign for all of New England?

Mark Karlin raised these question. It didn't take much digging to find one obvious candidate for a smoking gun that Tobin might know about.

Item: The Nader campaign got illicit help in Oregon, both from Bush-Cheney 2004 and from "Citizens for a Sound Economy." Were similar tricks played in New England?

GOTV: Londonderry/Auburn Special Election

John Robinson of Londonderry is running for an open seat in the NH House of Representatives in a January 24 special election in Londonderry and Auburn, Hillsborough County's 10th District.

John is the lead Londonderry reporter for Nutfield Publishers (publishers of the Londonderry Times) as well as a freelance writer. He is also the founder and operations manager of WLLO-LPFM, the Londonderry School District's FM Radio Station. John is extremely active within the Londonderry community and as a volunteer in the Londonderry school system, for which he has been recognized by Governor Lynch.

Volunteers -- for phone calls, visibility, etc. -- to help John with his campaign to bring a strong new Londonderry voice to the State House can contact his campaign through the state Democratic party headquarters at 225-6899, or drop in at 2 1/2 Beacon St., Concord anytime between now and Tuesday evening.
