Paul Johnson on AM radio

Fri, 10/22/2004 - 7:00am
Hi friends and supporters,

You're invited to listen in (and call in) during WSMN's Talkline show on Friday Oct 22 between 8:10AM and 9:00 AM. I'm the sole guest for the hour.

Hostess Georgi Hippauf of Nashua does a nice daily community affairs program every day during this time slot, focused on Nashua and surrounding towns. It's a nice break from Public Radio, and covers some interesting topics. Georgi is a Republican and her audience seems to lean that way a bit, but she's invited me on as one of about a half-dozen legislative candidates leading up to the election - and the only Democrat so far.

You're invited to call in, ask a question or make a point! The number is 882-1590. I'm not asking for "plant" calls, but the program will be more interesting and effective if there is a dialog between area residents, Georgi and me that explores interesting topics, instead of just the two of us in the studio exchanging pleasantries.

The focus will be on state and local topics, not on the national election or federal issues. Topics I'd like to address on the show include:
Ethics in Concord
Affordable Health care and S.B. 110
Nashua's property tax revaluation
The school funding issue
Election reform
Democracy for New Hampshire
Changes you'd like to see in state government (I'll throw this topic out for callers)
Hope you can tune in!

All the best,
Paul
