DFNH Dozen candidate
Paul Johnson is sending out the following alert to his potential constituents:
Attention all residents of Nashua - especially those in Wards 8 & 9:
A plan has been proposed to build a massive complex on 150 acres behind the Sheraton Nashua hotel off Spit Brook Road. This complex will include:
- a 1-1/4 mile thoroughbred horse racing track
- a grandstand for 30,000 people and infield capacity of 60,000 more
- 10,000 parking spaces (twice the capacity of the Pheasant Lane Mall)
- Stables for 820 horses
Because of the size and impact of this proposed facility, EVERY NASHUA RESIDENT IS LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED - by noise, traffic congestion, and the paving over of one of the last large wooded tracts and wildlife habitat in south Nashua.
