First 100 Days of Obama Administration: Jennifer Donahue, Political Director of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics

On Thursday, January 29th, Women Making a Difference will welcome Jennifer Donahue who will recap the election of 2008 and concentrate on President Barack Obama's first 100 days. By that day we will already have had nine days slip by. The event will be held in the club house at The Fells (off of Baboosic Lake Raod) at 12:00 noon. We are asking those who wish to come to bring a lunch item to share, such as little sandwiches, munchy veggies, etc. Gentlemen are welcome.

Jennifer Donahue is the Political Director of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College. Years ago, Jennifer was an associate producer for C-SPAN. There she was assigned to field produce the Clarence Thomas-Anita Hill Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. Between 1992 and 1995, Donahue was Press Secretary for Senator Hank Brown, who sat on the Foreign Relations, Budget and Judiciary Committees. From 1995 to 1999, she worked for CNN, based in Washington, DC, as a producer, writer and interviewer for "Inside Politics."

Donahue covered the 2000 presidential race as a political reporter in New Hampshire, an on-air political analyst for MSNBC and a freelance reporter for Newsweek. During the 2004 and 2008 New Hampshire Primary races, Donahue appeared frequently on ABC World News Tonight, Nightline, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC's Hardball, CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 and NPR. She has been quoted widely in the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today and Boston Globe, and she has done numerous live interviews on National Public Radio.

Jennifer Donahue is the Political Director of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College. Previously, Donahue spent 14 years as a political reporter, analyst and producer. During the 2004 and 2008 New Hampshire Primary races, Donahue appeared frequently on ABC World News Tonight, Nightline, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC's Hardball, CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, and NPR.

Donahue also moderates numerous panels for Saint Anselm College, many of which have been covered live on C-SPAN throughout the 2004 and 2008 Primary races. Donahue also teaches "Pizza & Politics," a popular seminar on political news and analysis at Saint Amselm College, and directs and teaches civic education at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.

Donahue covered the 2000 presidential race as a political reporter in New Hampshire, an on-air political analyst for MSNBC and a freelance reporter for Newsweek. She was called a "rising star" among political analysts by Hardball's Chris Matthews. Throughout the 2000 election cycle, Donahue interviewed all the major presidential candidates and moderated live debates and town hall meetings with Gore, Bradley, Bauer and Keyes. Donahue covered the 1996 presidential race for CNN and the1992 race for C-SPAN.

From 1995 to 1999, Donahue worked for CNN, based in their Washington, DC bureau, as a producer, writer and interviewer for "Inside Politics." Donahue also filed regular radio reports for CNN Radio network. Between 1992 and 1995, she was Press Secretary for Senator Hank Brown, who sat on the Foreign Relations, Budget and Judiciary Committees. Before that, Donahue was an associate producer for C-SPAN.
