Columbus Holiday Monday, Oct. 11, 3:30 pm at the Wilton Town Hall Theatre there will be a showing of the just released documentary: Hijacking Catastrophe: 9/11, Fear & the Selling of American Empire which examines how a radical fringe of the Republican Party used the trauma of the 9/11 terror attacks to advance a preexisting agenda to radically transform American foreign policy while rolling back civil liberties and social programs at home.

In-depth interviews with career officials in the administration featured in the film will be shown at 3:30pm; the main film will start at 4:30pm.

The film will be followed immediately by a talk by John Buchanan, author of Fixing America: Breaking the Stranglehold of Corporate Rule, Big Media and the Religious Right . He is also the journalist who broke the story of the Bush family-Nazi connection in The New Hampshire Gazette , the oldest newspaper in America. (http://www.nhgazette.com/) and who came in second in the New Hampshire Republican Presidential Primary in January 2004 as the "911 Truth Candidate."

Currently on his National Truth Tour 2004, Mr. Buchanan, a career journalist whose work has appeared in more than 100 newspapers and magazines and around the world on major web sites, says, "My talk will focus on the lies and deceit related to the invasion of Iraq, the utter failure of the war on terror, subversion of the Constitutional rights in the post 9/11 environment, and human rights abuses at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay."

Mr. Buchanan has said that his tour is geared to making a case to the American people, especially honorable Republicans and sincere Christians in the most critical swing states. On October 26, one week before the election, his tour will appear in a major public event at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

His talk will be sponsored by Democracy For NH. Donations are suggested to support Mr. Buchanan's tour, Democracy For NH, and the efforts of the Wilton Town Hall Theatre to offer thoughtful discourse. For more information contact Nancy White at 672-0271.
