House Party Fundraiser for Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) will be held at the home of Will & Wendy Thomas, at 27 Margate Drive. Interested folks are
invited to attend a viewing of a film called "Winter Soldier" which recorded in 1971 the personal testimonies of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW). These soldiers related their participation in or observations of atrocities committed by American troops while in Vietnam. Some of the testimony is quite graphic. The purpose of the get-together is to raise funds for those IVAW members who need assistance travelling to Washington D.C. (March 13-16) to participate in a second "Winter Soldier" hearing. Veterans from across the US will travel to DC to offer their testimonies which will also be
filmed. Iraqi and Afghan civilians will also be invited to speak at the event. All money collected will go towards the cost of paying for transportation, lodging, and food for these vets. If unable to attend, supporters may send a check to NH Veterans for Peace.
