NO IMMUNITY TO THE TELECOMS!
SEN CLINTON AND SEN OBAMA
PLEASE STEP UP AND LEAD! To All House And Senate Members NO RETROACTIVE IMMUNITY FOR THE TELECOM GIANTS! Thank You Sen. Dodd for heading back to Washington and taking your stand on this all important issue. Thank you for upholding your sworn oath to defend our Constitution. Most Constitutional Law Scholars believe the NSA warrant less spying program violated the Fourth Amendment of The Bill Of Rights concerning Unreasonable Search and Seizure. In no way, should any Bill be passed giving retroactive immunity to the phone companies. They were accomplices to law breaking. We need to send a clear message to future Commanders in Chief that if you engage Corporations into becoming accomplices in law breaking, there will be a price to pay, for both the President, and the guilty Corporations. I only wish more of the Presidential candidates would have left Iowa for one day, and stood with you. You Sen. Dodd, Sen Feingold, and Rep. Kucinich seem to be of the very few in Washington who have the courage to take the correct stand for "We The People." The FISA courts were set up in 1978, necessary, due to the Nixon administration and it's abuse of Executive Branch Power. Back during Watergate, the Republicans in the House and Senate understood the importance of loyalty to your Country, above loyalty to your political party. Even the Republicans were prepared to Impeach. Nixon resigned instead, to avoid himself the embarrassment. I'm not sure if these new Republicans of today will ever do the right thing. Supporting spying on innocent Americans, torture, suspension of Habeas Corpus, The Patriot Act, Guantanamo Bay...... The Republicans continue to put loyalty to their party above loyalty to their Country, by not holding the Bush administration and the Telecom giants accountable for their law breaking and Constitution shredding. Our elected officials take a sworn oath to Defend The Constitution. Yet they don't. Shame on all the elected Republicans who continue to defend this corrupt, criminal Bush administration. You should be held accountable too for being the enablers of the worst, most corrupt, criminal, Presidential administration ever. As for the Democrats, Shame on You too and the elected Democrats who simply lack the courage to Defend The Constitution. You take a sworn oath to Defend The Constitution, yet you don't. Once again I'm amazed at the spineless Democrats becoming even MORE cowardly as the 08 Pres election approaches. Last week enough Senate Dems sided with the Republicans, thus caving in once again by not demanding no retroactive immunity to the phone company giants. Even though they have two thirds of the American voters on their side. They chickened out again! Just like how they chickened out with the continued Iraq War Funding vote just before the Washington holiday season break! It's time to stand up to Bu$hCo and all of the law breaking and Constitution shredding. The Democrats who continually side with Bu$hCo are what gives the Democratic party of today it's spineless image. Unfortunately, it's an image they've earned. Both Sen Clinton and Sen Obama claimed to support no immunity, but when it came time to act and vote on this, neither had the conviction to cause, or courage, to actually VOTE NO on the immunity. What a courageous, righteous stand for change. All talk, but no real action, rarely CHANGES anything, if ever at all. IT'S TIME TO LEAD SEN CLINTON and SEN OBAMA! If You seek the job of Commander in Chief, then now is the time to PROVE you are indeed a LEADER! Vote NO on retroactive immunity for the Telecom giants. Anyhow, Thank You once again Sen Dodd for taking the defending of our Constitution seriously. Sincerely, Jeff Morris-Saugerties, N.Y. DeJaVu57 Kingston, N.Y.
