Finnish computer security expert Harri Hursti testifies to NH Legislature

Finnish computer security expert Harri Hursti, featured in the Emmy-nominated film Hacking Democracy, explains to the NH State Legislature how his hack and studies by the University of California expose the vulnerabilities of NH's Diebold optical scanners. With these machines counting 81% of NH votes, how does the State justify not banning them immediately? Hursti testified in September 2007.

No word yet of any action from the State.

NHPTV Outlook

NHPTV Outlook recently aired interviews with the voting technology committee formed by NH legislature in 2006-7. The interview links to this posting on DFNH. The show was highly biased, as is the committee. Neither the show nor the committee provided any information or perspective on the complications and concerns that arise from using technology that conceals the vote count from the public eye. For more information on the bigger picture see this post.

NHPTV also apparently decided not to post my comments on their website.
