Has the presidency become a monarchy?
What are the positions of the candidates on presidential power?
What are the limits of presidential power during the “war on terror?”
Has Congress exercised appropriate oversight?
What should be done to restore the balance of power intended by the framers of the Constitution?

Panelists:
Nancy Soderberg, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations
Neal Kurk, New Hampshire State Representative, Weare
Richard Hesse, Law Professor Emeritus, Franklin Pierce Law School
Aziz Huq, Brennan Center Director of Liberty and National Security Project
Michael Waldman - Moderator - Brennan Center Executive Director

On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, the League of Women Voters and the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law are cosponsoring this important discussion. The event coincides with the release of Brennan Center’s report 12 Steps to Restore Checks and Balances - a set of reforms to realign the three branches of government consistent with the Framers’ intent - written by Aziz Huq, Director of Brennan Center’s Liberty and National Security Project.
