As Governor of New Hampshire, John Lynch will put the interests of New Hampshire families first, fighting to create good jobs, improve schools, and expanding access to affordable health care. As President and CEO of Knoll, Inc., he changed the way the company did business, giving factory workers stock in the company, annual bonuses, retirement plans and college scholarships for their children, and he did so while transforming Knoll from a company losing $50 million a year into one making a profit of nearly $240 million. As chair of the University System Board of Trustees, he fought Gov. Benson's senseless budget cuts that would have driven tuition even higher. And he helped lead the successful fight to keep Catholic Medical Center open when its corporate owners wanted to shut it down. John Lynch believes that every child in New Hampshire deserves an equal opportunity for a quality education, and will work to strengthen the state's commitment to its public schools and students. He will work to expand the Healthy Kids Children's Health Insurance Program to make sure all children in New Hampshire have health insurance. He will work to protect New Hampshire's natural resources, and ensure that they are used for the benefit of New Hampshire citizens. John Lynch knows how to look out for the bottom line and still take care of people, and that is what he will do as Governor.
