State Senator Jackie Cilley (District 6) will host a public forum at Horseshoes Plus located on her property at 2 Oak Hill Road, Barrington beginning at 5 p.m. The event is open to the public. Richardson is in his second term as Governor of New Mexico and sports an impressive career in politics and government service. A 7-term Congressman from 1983-1997, Gov. Richardson served as UN Ambassador from 1997-98 and was US Secretary of Energy under President Bill Clinton from 1998-2001. Richardson is the nation’s only Hispanic governor. Richardson is a gifted and respected diplomat who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995, 1997, 2000 and 2001. His talks are laced with his vision for more diplomatic solutions to international problems and he has the concrete experience to back up his points. He offers a plan for resolving the Iraq war and will detail his vision for a more equitable and prosperous United States under his leadership.
