Grassroots GOlympics

Sat, 08/21/2004 - 9:00am
Every four years the best and the brightest come together, and commit their time, energy and passion to a cause – no, it’s not the Olympic Games this year, but the elections in the Presidential Election year! So, while athletes are competing in Greece, New Hampshire activists will be competing at what they do best – GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING!

The GOlympics will give activists and volunteers the opportunity to compete in various grassroots organizing challenges like collecting the most signatures, knocking on the most doors and reaching the most voters in the Nashua area. Competitors can also win prizes and compete in special challenges. Best of all, the ultimate winners of the event will be the voters we motivate to make the elections of 2004 count by getting involved and making a difference!

The games will be held on Saturday, August 21 starting at 10:00 a.m. at Daniel Webster College (Eaton-Richmond Building) located at 20 University Drive in Nashua, NH. For more information contact Graham Roth or by calling (603) 296-1418. You can also sign up at www.AmericaVotes.org/action.

If Nashua is inconvenient, we will also be going door to door in the following towns that weekend on both Saturday and Sunday: Bethlehem, Guilford, Lebanon, Manchester, Newton, Northwood, North Hampton, Salem, Francestown (Saturday only), and Franklin (Sunday only). Contact Emily Mintz or 603-296-1408 for more information or to RSVP.
