DFNH is partnering with DFA to bring the "first in the nation" Grassroots Training Academy of 2007 to the "first in the nation" state!

Join us on Saturday, January 27th and Sunday, January 28th for two days of training in grassroots community organizing, planning a campaign, media relations, and much more. On Sunday, we will offer special sessions for legislators, including constituent relations, issue advocacy, and time for legislators to meet with each other and discuss issues of importance to them.

The registration fee ($60 with discounts for students and those on fixed incomes) includes two days of training with regional and national experts, lunch on both days, and a resource binder that you will be able to take home.

Below is the announcement sent out by DFA...

Dear New Hampshire activists,

You made the phone calls, you knocked on the doors and this past November you began to take our country back from the right wing. While many people are thinking about taking a rest after our victories in 2006, we know that you aren't. You have the special responsibility of hosting America's first in the nation primary. That's why we have chosen New Hampshire for 2007's first in the nation DFA Training Academy. Our national DFA training schedule kicks off in Manchester on January 27-28.

Presidential candidates have already begun campaigning in New Hampshire, seeking your vote. You and I know that the grassroots are more than just a passive audience. The DFA Training Academy will prepare you to become an asset to whichever candidate you end up supporting and help them win in New Hampshire and across the country.

But this is more than just a presidential race. This past November you helped re-elect John Lynch as governor and put Democratic majorities in the House and Senate for the first time since the Civil War. In addition to the standard campaign curriculum, we also will focus on strategies geared toward retaining the seats won last year and building Democratic majorities in 2008 and beyond. RSVP today:

At the DFA Training Academy, experienced campaign professionals will cover practical strategies and tactics including communications, fundraising, voter targeting, online organizing, and building a sustainable grassroots movement. We design the program so you can go out and use the skills you learn right away. Then, we follow up with you to make sure you have the support you need to organize your community.

In 2007, the whole nation will be watching New Hampshire. Attend the DFA Training Academy and become a participant in history.

I hope to see you in Manchester!
