Seacoast
Thursday, Jan. 11: There will be various demonstrations in the Seacoast area against Bush's proposed military excalation in Iraq. Not all event plans have been finalized, but here is all the information that is currently available:
8:00 to 9:00 am: A banner drop with the sign "US OUT OF IRAQ NOW!" over the Spaulding Turnpike at the Cataract Ave. bridge. Sponsored by Seacoast Peace Response. >From Rte. 108 take Rutland St. north just east of the Spaulding Tpke., turn left onto Cararact Ave. Park at McIntosh College and walk a few feet to the bridge. It would help if a few people could join me to help put up the banner and to wave to drivers. For more information contact David Diamond at ddiam@ttlc.net, phone 749-9159.
Also during morning drive time a banner drop over I-95, possibly at the Breakfast Hill Rd. bridge in Greenland, off Rte. 151, about a mile and a half south of the intersection with Rte. 33. 4:00 - 5:00 pm: Vigil at Carol Shea-Porter's office at 104 Washington Street in Dover. "No Urge to Surge." Carol is committed to ending the war. She needs to know that we are behind her on that. For more information contact Jim Sconyers jimscon@comcast.net.
