Candidate endorsement process
PLEASE NOTE: ENDORSEMENT APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UP TO SEPTEMBER 30TH ONLY.
DFNH will endorse 50 additional candidates in the November 2006 election cycle, the "Second 50." DFNH seeks to endorse a diverse group of candidates, including first-time candidates and incumbents, offices at all levels of the ticket, from each County in the state, those with high chances of success as well as those whom "conventional wisdom" would suggest we avoid. Although there are many more than 50 candidates who meet DFNH's mission, the organization is limiting its formal support to 50 so that it can focus its resources effectively in helping them win. Candidates interested in DFNH endorsement must submit their information to the Political Affairs Committee. After review and recommendation by the Political Affairs Committee, endorsements are voted on by DFNH's Board of Directors. DFNH will make endorsements on a rolling basis between April and October in order to allow the greatest number of candidates to be considered in the process. DFNH will support its endorsed candidates with volunteer assistance - knocking on doors, making phone calls, holding signs, and more - with help to spread their message through our website, membership, and networks of grassroots activists - and with financial support through campaign contributions. Candidates interested in seeking a DFNH endorsement may download the candidate questionnaire here. Please submit all responses to political@democracyfornewhampshire.com. |
