The New NH Pledge

What if there was a new Pledge in NH? Here's a suggestion (and keep in mind the existing Norquist pledge below):

Norquist Pledge
I, Peter Glenshaw, pledge to the taxpayers of the 17th district of the State of New Hampshire and to all the people of this state, that I will oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes.

New NH pledge
I, Peter Glenshaw, pledge to New Hampshire citizens that I will consider the possibility of new taxes as I do all other reasonable issues: with an open mind that will support what is best for the Granite State.

'Norquist' Pledge

Connecting the no new taxes pledge to Norquist is but another purposeful inaccuracy that is being spread via this website.

The NH tax pledge was conceived by the people of NH, and we are proud and pleased that many legislators have taken it.

What DFNH is saying is, they pledge to consider asking you to pay more for bigger government without considering what it is that YOU want.

All this rhetoric about the 'common good' is so reminiscent of the communism of the 60s and should send up red flags to anyone who reads this site.

It certainly sends a chill up my spine...
