Senator, Rep. say $30K may not be tainted

PORTSMOUTH — A U.S. senator and representative from New Hampshire each received about $15,000 in campaign contributions from a political action committee criticized for improperly spending unregulated soft money and whose executive director has been indicted for money laundering.

But Sen. John Sununu and Rep. Jeb Bradley say it's too early to tell if the funds they received from the group, Americans for a Republican Majority Political Action Committee, are linked to any scandals.
