for immediate release / Press conference announcement

Democracy for New Hampshire to expose right wing activities that are undermining Democracy in NH.

Where: The Legislative Office Building in Concord.
When: Wednesday May 18, 2005 11:00 AM to noon.

Democracy for New Hampshire Director Peter Glenshaw will make a short statement that will:

1. Provide a documented overview of damage done by right wing coalitions in the New Hampshire House and Senate and in our communities.

2. Connect the dots between House and Senate members and powerful special interest groups in Washington DC and elsewhere.

3. Present a list of NH Representatives and Senators who pledge to uphold the agenda of out of state groups.

(Following the press conference hundreds of copies of this list will be delivered to the media, the Democratic Party Caucus and the Main Street Republican Caucus)

Supporting testimony: Democracy for New Hampshire will be joined by speakers from Exeter, Bedford and Tamworth. These speakers will explain how heavy handed tactics by NH's right wing have cost taxpayers millions of dollars and undermined local control.

Lastly, Democracy for New Hampshire make internal memos from right wing groups available to the NH media (Upon Request) These memos demonstrate close relationships between NH legislators and fringe elements, power brokers and out of state special interest organizations.

We hope you will join us for this hard hitting press conference.
