At the Peterborough Meetup last night, the question came up as to
what does DFNH mean by fiscally responsible, socially progressive. In DFNH organizational planning, we had discussions about the DFNH "platform" and agenda, which included things such as:
- health care for all
- investment in children and education
- equal rights under law
- balanced budgets
- citizenship through voting and participation in the political process
- ethical corporate leadership
- environmental responsibility
- secure energy policies
- fair trade
- a national security policy that makes America stronger through moral leadership.
The DFA candidates questionnaire leaves it up to the candidates to define "fisc resp soc prog" for themselves.
What does the DFNH community think about it?
