State St. is one of the major streets in downtown Portsmouth. From the Portsmouth traffic circle (I-95 and Rte. 16), take Route 1-bypass north, exit at Maplewood Ave., turn right at the top of the exit, continue on Maplewood Ave. for about a mile, past about five stop lights, turn left onto State Street, South Street is a stone building with columns in the front, about a quarter mile on the right. Park on a side street or in the Mill Pond Parking Lot. Parking on the street is free after 7 pm. To get to the Mill Pond parking lot, go past the church to Pleasant St., turn right on Pleasant St., two blocks, and the parking lot is on your right, after a bank. Admission is by donation, and all are welcome.
